MERRY CHRISTMAS.....yesterday
I hope you all had
a great Christmas! I know I did! Even though there was no snow and we almost
melted it was good! One thing about the way the people celebrate Christmas here
is a little odd. Christmas Eve is more of a party than Christmas day, and
everyone celebrates by playing music AS LOUD AS THEY CAN ALL NIGHT!
We didn’t get any sleep that night! But it was a good Christmas Day. We went to
church and then taught 3 new families about the gospel and they all said they
want to learn more so thats good!
Through this past
week we had a tri-zone conference and our mission president came and spoke to
us. He spoke about the importance that we always remeber the purpose of
everything that we do. No matter what happens, we need to remember that we are
sons and daughters of our Loving Heavenly Father and never let anything tells
us more make us feel otherwise.
Thank you all for the support and my
choice to serve a mission. I love you all! Merry Christmas....yesterday...

ALMOST CHRISTMAS TIME IN ECUADOR!
I know it is
almost Christmas time every where else too, but anyway! IT IS ALMOST CHRISTMAS
TIME!
This past week has
been so great! Elder Golpe and I gave a Libro de Mormon to a family (The Vaque
Family) this past week and they were so excited for it! We are planning on
proposing a baptismal date soon! We hope they will accept it!
(Here is a bit of
info about the family if you would like to know)
They are a family
of 4 people.
The father,
Richard.
The mother,
Jessica.
A son,
Joagol.
And a daughter,
Anabell.
They have come to
church with us twice and said they liked it a lot. They husband and wife aren’t
married, so we are going to talk to them about the Law of Chastity with them
soon and propose the idea of them getting married
This past week I
had the opportunity to explain the blessings that come from the Book of Mormon
with 3 kids of a family of members. When I was sharing my testimony with them I
shared the scripture Mosiah 24:14 with them and talked about the power of
prayer. I love the message in Mosiah 24:14 because it explains that even in our
hardest trials we always have our Lord God with us by our side. It may be hard
to see the hand of God during our trials but he is always with us. There is a
song that goes perfect with that scripture, My Everything by Owl City. If you
guys have time I suggest you listen to that song!
Guys, I love it
here. I have learned so much here! I can not believe how fast the time has
gone! Thank you all for the support! Feliz Navidad!
Elder Pincock!
