Email from Ecuador!

Hello everyone! I hope life has been so great for you all! This past week Elder Golpe and I found 3 new families and are teaching them right now! They all love hearing the messages and went to church with us yesterday and loved it! We are hoping to invite them to get baptized soon, but the problem is they are families but the mother and father are not married and we can´t baptize families unless the mom and dad are married, so we are going to teach them about the Law of Chastity and see what goes on from there!

So something so funny happened this week! I had to get a haircut and right after I got done my companion told me that with my new hair I could contact all of the ladies here. I laughed and didn´t think much of it, but everyday at least 1 a teenage girl would see us walking on the street, come up to us, stare me down, tell me I was cute, and asked for my information. All my companion did was laugh and I had to make an excuse for us to leave. Lesson learned, don´t get my hair cut and walk by the schools.

The language has gotten so much easier this week! I can understand 95 percent of everything I hear and can respond rather well. It is crazy that I have been here for about a month and learned so much of the language. During this past week, we taught a lot of people the Plan of Salvation. During one of the lessons I really started to think about how grateful I am for Jesus Christ. In 2 Nephi 25:26 it talks about why everything we teach is central in Christ, because only through Christ can we receive a remission of our sins and enjoy this life to it's maximum. I am so grateful for this gospel and this Christmas season. Thank you all so much for the support you guys give me. I love you all!
